Quick Answer · What is Deadlock?

Deadlock is Valve's free-to-play multiplayer game that blends third-person hero shooting with MOBA structure: four lanes, soul orbs, items and ziplines around a central map. In the current meta, Graves (56.7% win rate) leads across 511,133 tracked matches, with Victor and Seven close behind. Data on this site is refreshed twice daily from millions of real matches, so the tier list, hero stats and patch notes reflect the latest balance changes without requiring a login.

Data Tools

Everything You Need to Study the Meta

Four focused tools, one source of truth: live tracked match data.

Data Pipeline

Real Matches, Not Estimates

Every number here traces back to tracked matches, with source and snapshot time shown on each page.

Live Match Collection

Public match data is aggregated from Valve's game client APIs and processed into hero, item and rank statistics with confidence intervals.

Twice-Daily Snapshots

Our pipeline pulls fresh analytics twice a day and rebuilds the static pages, so the tier list and stats stay aligned with the latest patches.

Patch-Aware Analysis

Each balance patch shifts the meta. Patch notes are documented per update so you can trace why a hero's win rate moved.

How to Read the Tier Board

Tiers are computed from live win rates, not opinion. Here is the exact method.

S

S tier: 53% and above

Heroes that clear the 53% win rate bar with a meaningful sample. Graves at 56.7%, Victor at 56.4% and Seven at 54.8% currently sit here. A hero needs at least 10,000 tracked matches before it can enter the board, so low-sample flukes never make the list.

A

A tier: 51 to 53%

Strong, stable performers that sit just below the top band. These heroes are usually safe ladder picks because their win rates hold up at scale.

B

B tier: 49 to 51%

Balanced heroes that sit just below the S and A bands. Good picks when you want off-meta value: a well-practiced B-tier main often wins games by being unfamiliar to opponents.

C/D

C and D tier: below 49%

Heroes that trail the field. D tier means below 47% win rate: currently Mirage sits at 43.9%, with Silver and Venator at 45.1% and Mina at 45.3%. These numbers usually improve after buffs, which is why patch notes matter.

What the Numbers Mean

Three things to keep in mind when you compare heroes.

Sample size first

A small-sample win rate can look extreme and still be noise; the leaders on this board sit at 56.7%, 56.4% and 54.8% across hundreds of thousands of tracked matches each. Every hero on the board has at least 10,000 tracked matches, so the numbers are stable enough to plan around.

Patches move the board

The September 16 update cut slow effects by 20%, raised Graves' health per boon from 33 to 35 and reworked comeback gold. Each change shifts win rates, and our snapshot pipeline rebuilds the whole site twice a day so the board reflects the latest patch, not last month's meta.

Ranks tell you where you are

The rank distribution page maps every badge level against the tracked player base, so you can see how common your badge is and how far the climb is to the top. The highest badge holds only 0.01% of tracked ranked players.

No login, no gimmicks

Everything is open on static pages built from the same snapshot that powers the analytics. You can bookmark any page, share it, and come back twice a day to see the freshest numbers without creating an account.
